ChatGPT Sticker Tutorial: One Photo → a Full Set of WeChat/QQ Meme Stickers
ChatGPT's image feature recently picked up a really fun trick:
Upload one of your own photos and it can turn you into a full set of meme stickers.
And it's not just a plain 3×3 grid image.
Follow this tutorial all the way through, and the stickers you generate can be added straight into WeChat and QQ, so you can actually use them in your chats.
I ran through the whole process myself, and it was way more fun than I expected.
Here's the complete walkthrough.
01｜Have ChatGPT turn your photo into stickers
Step one is simple.
Open ChatGPT, start a new chat, and upload a photo (a picture of yourself also works).
Pick a photo where:
- The face is clear and sharp;
- Facial features aren't blocked;
- Half-body or full-body shots both work;
- The expression doesn't need to be exaggerated.
Then enter the prompt below.
Create a set of meme sticker packs based on the attached image, incorporating 🚲🚗🎉😭💪😎🤔🤩🍕.
Design the character as big-headed with a small body: the head accounts for 50% of the body, and the arms and legs are very short — just tiny stubs.
Use exaggerated internet-reaction expressions, including crying, confusion, shock, smugness, side-eye, and deadpan disbelief, with awkward poses, low-fi cutout textures, and absurd humor.
Create a square (1:1) transparent sticker sheet containing nine distinct stickers arranged in a 3×3 grid, each showing a different expression, pose, or reaction.
Leave wide, fully transparent gaps between the stickers.
No background, shadows, or overlapping elements.
Here's why I designed the character the way I did:
Big head + small body + super-short arms and legs.
With a normal real-person ratio, the result looks more like a character illustration.
But once you enlarge the head, shrink the body, and pair it with those internet expressions — crying, confused, shocked, smug, side-eye, deadpan — that unmistakable meme-sticker vibe instantly shows up.
You can also swap the emoji inside the prompt.
For example:

Or design your own set based on what fits your friends.
02｜How to add them in WeChat
WeChat is probably what most readers care about — it just takes one extra step.
First, go back to the image ChatGPT just generated, tap it, and use the save entry on the image (bottom-right corner) to save the sticker to your phone's photo album.
Here's a small tip: use the save entry inside the image result itself. In my testing, saving this way lets you use each sticker as a separate asset — much easier than screenshotting the whole grid.
Next, open WeChat, enter any chat, and go: Stickers → Sticker Gallery → Add from Album, then select the sticker you just saved.
Once you confirm, the sticker goes into your WeChat sticker collection, and you can send it right away.
And that's basically a complete, fully-custom AI sticker pack.
03｜QQ works the same way
The logic is the same for QQ: first save the ChatGPT-generated sticker to your phone, then open QQ's Sticker Manager / Favorite Stickers entry and add the image you just saved from your album.
After that, you can send it straight in your chats.
So the whole idea boils down to this: ChatGPT produces and splits the stickers, and the social apps take care of storing and using them. As long as a platform supports custom stickers, you can apply the same trick.
Final Thoughts
Whenever a new feature comes out, I like to run through it myself first. Not just to check whether it "can generate" — but to think one step further: can this actually be used for real?
This ChatGPT sticker pack is a perfect example. On its own, it's just "one photo turns into nine little figures." But walk a few more steps — stickers → imported into chat apps → turned into GIFs → published as sticker sets → connected to your content account — and it becomes a complete little creative workflow.
