Meta Muse Says "Not Available in Your Country" — What to Do?
The short answer: nothing went wrong on your side. Muse is open only in the US and Canada right now, so users in other regions see this message after signing in. Joining the waitlist only means Meta will notify you when your region opens. It does not give you early access.
📌 Updated 2026-10-30. The open list can change; the message on muse.ai is authoritative.

Which message are you seeing?
The four messages below mean different things:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Muse isn't available in your country or region yet. We'll let you know when it is. | Your account region is not on the open list |
| You're on the waitlist | You are registered; Meta will notify you when your region opens |
| Join the waitlist for Muse | You are not registered yet; you can join |
| Confirm your age | Muse requires users to be 18 or older (higher in some countries) |
Other guides on this site call the waitlist the "candidate list". It is the same mechanism.
Why does this message appear?
- The region is not open. Muse launched in the US on 8 September 2026 and opened in Canada on 18 September. Meta has not published a timetable for other countries.
- The check is not based on IP alone. Muse's terms require you to be in an open country. Users report that the restriction is tied to the Meta account itself, so switching network nodes does not always help.
- Age and account requirements. You need to be at least 18 and have a Meta account (created with Facebook, Instagram, email or a phone number).
Which countries is Muse available in?
Two, for now:
- ✅ United States (8 September 2026)
- ✅ Canada (18 September 2026)
- ⏳ UK, EU, Australia, Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan: not open, no official timetable
The full list and the exact message for each region is in Muse supported countries.
Does the waitlist help?
It helps, but only a little:
- ✅ Meta will notify you when your region opens
- ❌ It does not give you early access
- ❌ Invite codes circulating online add bonus quota for users in open regions only; they cannot lift the region limit
Joining costs nothing. If you are willing to wait, join it.
What can you do now?
- Join the waitlist and wait for an official notice.
- Follow the rollout: the latest list is in Muse supported countries.
- Learn the other route: see the Muse tutorial.
⚠️ Risk note: Muse's terms allow Meta to suspend or terminate accounts that break the rules. Weigh any unofficial workaround yourself, and do not attach important accounts or payment details.
- Compare alternatives: see the Muse AI price comparison.
- Subscribe: the free tier covers everyday use; for heavier use, contact support to subscribe to Power ($16/month) or Maximum ($80/month).
