How to Subscribe to Grok Bot: Grok + Cursor + X Bundle and Card Checkout
Grok Bot is no longer a standalone product. As of October 2026, Grok, Cursor, and X are sold as one bundle, and Grok Bot comes with it as the conversational bot inside that bundle.
Payment is card-on-file only. Cards issued in mainland China, Alipay, and WeChat Pay don't work; checkout runs through Stripe.
Bottom line: Grok Bot now comes in a single Grok + Cursor + X bundle. You subscribe by binding a bank card on grok.com, not by submitting a user ID. Confirm the tier and payment card with support first, then complete the Stripe checkout on your own account.

Part 1: What Is Grok Bot, and Which Tiers Include It?
Grok Bot is Grok's conversational bot. It has three entry points — @Grok on X, the grok.com web app, and the mobile app — and all of them use the same Grok account.
As of October 2026, the Grok, Cursor, and X memberships are sold as one set of plans that covers all three products. Grok Bot comes with that plan set.
The plans come in four tiers: plus, premium, super, and ultra. Only premium and above can use Grok Bot:
| Tier | Grok Bot Access | First-Month Discount | Cursor Benefits | X Benefits | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| plus | Not included | Standard price | Base quota | Base features | Casual Grok web exploration |
| premium | Included | 50% off first month | Enhanced quota | Blue checkmark & basic perks | Creators and light coding |
| super (Recommended) | Included | 50% off first month | Fast & high quota | Full Premium perks | Heavy Grok Bot dialogue & intensive dev |
| ultra | Included | 50% off first month | Top compute & priority | Top privileges & instant response | Teams and maximum performance needs |
Prices, quotas, and the full benefit list for each tier are shown on the grok.com subscription page. The bundle does not include API credits: subscriptions and the API are billed separately, so using Grok in your own software requires xAI's API.
Prices and quotas change. Before you order, check the live information on the grok.com subscription page. This article was last updated in October 2026.
Part 2: How to Pay From China
Grok's official payments run through Stripe, which does not accept Alipay, WeChat Pay, or cards issued in mainland China. Since the Grok Bot bundle is card-on-file only, there are three routes:
| Route | How it works | Risks and requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Bind your own card | Use an overseas physical card or a usable virtual card to subscribe on grok.com | You need a card and a matching billing address; mainland cards and most virtual cards are rejected |
| Card assistance from a top-up service | Confirm the tier with support, then prepare the payment card as instructed — the subscription still lands on your own account | The tier and price must be confirmed first; the card and your login region need to match |
| Password-based top-up | Hand your account password to the provider and let them operate the account | The account is fully exposed — the password can be changed and your data viewed. Not recommended |
The subscription happens on the grok.com subscription page: choose a tier, bind a card, and confirm the charge. The bundle starts only after the charge succeeds, and then renews monthly. Whether a card passes Stripe's checks decides whether the subscription goes through.
Note: the Grok Bot bundle is usually not a standard self-service plan on top-up platforms; the tier and price need to be confirmed with support. UPGPTs handles Grok Bot through support consultation. Consultation is free.
Part 3: Step-by-Step Card Subscription
Step 1: Confirm the tier and your account status
Tell support three things at once:
- Which bundle tier you want
- Whether the account is free Grok, or already on a paid plan
- When you need it to take effect
If your account already has a subscription, the checkout page shows the actual charge for this order. Check that amount before submitting so you don't pay a full month twice in the same cycle.
Step 2: Sign in to grok.com and open the subscription page
Sign in at grok.com, open the bottom-left avatar or account menu, then go to Settings / Account and Subscription / Upgrade. The exact labels vary by version; if you can't find it, open the account settings page directly. If you do not have an account yet, see How to Register for Grok.

Subscribing to premium or above now gets 50% off the first month. This applies to every account's first subscription, and checkout shows the actual charge for this order.
Step 3: Bind a bank card and submit
This walkthrough uses the super tier. Select super and continue to checkout.

At checkout, confirm the tier, then enter the card number, expiry date, CVV, and billing address. Accept the subscription terms and submit. Three details decide whether the payment goes through:
- Use the billing address of the card's issuing country. A mismatch is a common reason Stripe declines the charge.
- Keep the payment node in the same region as the card. A US card with an Asian IP is one of the most common failure combinations.
- Check the tier and amount once more before submitting. Fixing a wrong tier afterwards is more work than checking now.
Step 4: Confirm the charge and activation
Wait for the checkout page to return a result. A successful charge shows that the subscription is active and displays the next billing date.

Refresh Grok and open Settings → Subscription; the current plan and renewal date should be there. Cursor and X benefits are linked as described on the subscription page, and the plan badge in the account menu should change as well.
If the charge fails: the usual causes are a card flagged as high risk by Stripe, a billing address mismatch, or a login IP far from the card's issuing country. Try another card or ask support for help. Don't retry repeatedly in a short window — consecutive failures make the account look riskier.
Step 5: Note the next billing date
Card subscriptions renew automatically every month, charging on the renewal date. If you don't want another cycle, cancel before that date.
Part 4: Confirming Your Plan and Renewal
Check the plan and benefit linking
- Grok Bot: open Settings → Subscription on grok.com to verify your active plan, quotas, and next billing date; test conversational access on grok.com, mobile apps, or @Grok on X
- Cursor benefit linking: sign in to Cursor with the same email as your Grok account, or complete the authorization link under grok.com settings, then check Settings → Billing in Cursor to confirm perks
- X platform perks: your linked X account automatically receives corresponding tier perks, with blue checkmark and feature access visible on your profile
- Quota: each product's allowance follows the subscription page; free and paid limits differ
Renewal rules
Card subscriptions renew automatically every month at the same time on the renewal date. If the charge fails, the subscription stops.
If you don't plan to continue, cancel under Settings → Subscription at least one or two days before the next billing date. The current cycle remains usable after cancellation.
Cancellation and refunds
- Official subscriptions can be cancelled under Settings → Subscription; the current cycle remains usable
- Orders placed through a top-up service follow that platform's warranty and refund rules
- Failed charges or failed activations are usually refunded to the original payment method; ban-related cases are handled by remaining days. Confirm the warranty terms before ordering

Part 6: Summary
Subscribing to Grok Bot comes down to two points:
- Confirm the tier: Grok Bot requires premium or above, and the plus tier does not include it. Plans, prices, and quotas change, so have support check the current bundle before you order
- Pay by card: Grok Bot does not support user-ID top-up. Bind a card on your own account's subscription page; confirm the payment method with support first
